Andi Eigenmann admitted she is excited to be part of the Dyesebel. “Role ko dito si Betty at love interest ko dito si Gerald Anderson. Dito natin malalaman kung ano yung mga challenges na mapupunta sa kanya, kung paano ma-te-test yung ugali ni Betty dahil sa mga bagay na mangayayari at darating sa buhay niya. Siyempre nakaka-pressure kasi first time ko magkakaroon ng dalawang teleserye. Pero I'm very blessed. Sobrang masaya ako eh kasi meron akong Galema, meron akong ginagawa na mahal na mahal ko and I'm very happy na hanggang ngayon nag-e-air pa
rin kami at tinatangkilik pa rin siya ng mga tao pero nadagdagan ng isa
pa na sigurado din naman ako na magiging espesyal din at susubaybayan
din ng karamihan,” she said.
Even though her other fantaserye Galema
is still ongoing, Andi does not see any scheduling conflicts and even
said it will not affect quality time with her loved ones. “Pagka-gusto
mo ang isang bagay walang nagiging mahirap. And gusto ko pareho, hindi
ko naman tatanggapin kung sa tingin ko mahihirapan ako pagsabayin ang
dalawang proyekto. Alam ko naman na nasa likod ko ang production ng Galema at the same time ng Dyesebel at magagawan naman ng paraan yan and at the same time si Ellie (her daughter) naman hindi naman ako nawawalan ng oras sa kanya eh. Kahit gaano ako kapagod pag-umuwi ka sa bahay and makikita mo si Ellie na napaka-super duper cute, mawawala lahat ng pagod mo. Tinanggap ko ito kasi maganda ang script, maganda ang role. I would love to be pat of this production. Dyesebel has always been a big deal to me ever since I was little because alam naman ng karamihan talaga na mermaid ako since Agua Bendita pa lang mahilig na ako lumangoy. So it doesn't matter kung anong role as long as it's a good one and kaya kong gawin yung best ko sa binigay sa akin,” she shared.
Andi also looks forward to working with Anne Curtis again after their movie A Secret Affair. “Actually hindi pa kami nag-usap ever since but I did see her the night before ako i-pitch dito so medyo parang ako parang may idea na pero siya wala pa. Wala akong sinabi sa kanya (laughs). Hindi ko alam kung paano ko paghahandaan ito. Sa tingin ko, it will just happen naturally kapag nandun na sa eksena pero excited ako na makatrabaho ulit si Anne. Alam ko na magiging masaya ang set na ito,” she said.
As
a single mom, Andi said she would also not hesitate to introduce Ellie
to her biological father if her daughter wants to meet him someday.
“That's one thing I know, I will not lie to my daughter. Papalakihin ko siya na maging honest just like me at ng hindi matakot maging sarili niya. Ayokong mag-filter ng mga bagay tungkol sa pagkatao niya. So kung hihingin niya sa akin, siguro ibibigay ko. Pero only if she asks for it and no one else,” she said.
At
23, Andi admitted she has already learned so much from motherhood. “Of
course the most obvious is that it is not as easy as people think it is
but at the same time it's not as hard too. Another thing that I learned
when I became a mom was that as long as you commit yourself completely
to something and that you love something unconditionally, noting will be
hard for you, everything will always be easy,” she said.
When it comes to her love life, Andi knows how to prioritize. “Para sa akin naman never naman mauubusan ng oras para sa bagay na mahalaga sa akin. Hindi magiging mahirap na i-balance yan kasi I know my priorities and hindi ko binibitawan yun,” she said.
On
her rumored on-again and off-again relationship with Manila mayor Erap
Estrada's son Jake Ejercito, Andi said she is not hiding anything from
the public. “Para sa akin hindi naman kailangan labanan ang mga bagay
na ganyan. Hindi alam ng mga tao kung ano talaga yung nangyayari sa
tunay na buhay and sometimes alam ko naman that it's a commitment that I made being a part of showbiz, being a public figure, dapat
din na hindi ipagkait sa kanila kung ano yung nangyayari sa tunay kong
buhay. Pero may mga tao na parte ng buhay ko na hindi naman obligasyon
yun. So sana respetuhin natin yun. Minsan I choose not to say much,” she admitted.
Andi
also shrugged off the issue that Erap supposedly does not approve of
her for his son. “Personally I don't think he ever said that,” she
added.
