Three of the top actresses of the generation Angelica Panganiban,
Toni Gonzaga, and Bea Alonzo have already experienced working with John
Lloyd Cruz, the lead of Star Cinema’s upcoming film “The Trial,” helmed
by Chito S. Roño.
John Lloyd’s previous and current leading ladies Bea Alonzo and Toni Gonzaga, respectively, love how he consistently exhibits utter brilliance in every project that he makes.
Bea: “Si John Lloyd masarap katrabaho kasi talagang
nagde-deliver siya. Ang sarap kasi lagi ka niyang sinusurprise with a
new emotion kasi talagang ginagamit niya ang puso niya.”
Toni: “Si Lloydie kapag ka-trabaho mo, nagiging free-flowing at spontaneous ang bawat ekesna dahil napaka natural niyang actor. He’s a thinking actor.”
On the other hand, John Lloyd’s real-life girlfriend Angelica praised Direk Chito S. Roño for his professionalism and mastery of the craft.
Angelica: “Ang sarap ka-trabaho ni Direk Chito. Alam niya kung ano ang gusto niya e. kapag nasa set ka dapat iparamdam mo na nasa set ka and talagang masayang masaya siyang kasama sa set, talagang gusto niya happy lang lahat ng tao."

Bea: “Ang ganda kasi it is something that I would watch at kapag gumawa naman ang Star Cinema wala namang duda, Direk Chito pa diba? I know isa na naman itong box-office hit at isa na naman itong obra maestro mula sa Star Cinema.”
Angelica: “Sobrang interesting niya. Alam mong de-kalidad ang mapapanuod mong pelikula, sa unang tingin palang ng trailer madadala ka na sa acting na pinakita ng bawat character.”
“The Trial” revolves around Ronald (John Lloyd), a mentally challenged guy, who was put into trial after allegedly raping his teacher named Bessy (Jessy).
The film, helmed by the acclaimed director Chito Rono, will be the film outfit’s culminating film for its 20th anniversary. It stars John Lloyd Cruz, Gretchen Barretto, Richard Gomez, Jessy Mendiola, Enrique Gil, Sylvia Sanchez, Vince de Jesus, among others.
“The Trial” opens on October 15 in cinemas nationwide.
