Trailer for ’10,000 Hours’ Teases Fictionalized Account of Sen. Lacson’s Life on the Run.

The teaser trailer for the action thriller “10,000 Hours” debuted on YouTube on Wednesday, offering an exciting glimpse into one of the more intriguing entries to the upcoming 39th Metro Manila Film Festival.

“10,000 Hours” stars Robin Padilla as a senator who goes into hiding after he is falsely accused of a crime by no less than the President of the Philippines. If the story sounds familiar, that is because the film is loosely based on the 14 months between January 2010 and March 2011 that Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson spent on the run after he was charged in court as the alleged mastermind of the infamous Dacer-Corbito murder case.

The YouTube introduction bills the film as “the journey of a man who has lived his life by the law and for the law, (b)ut, he is also a man betrayed by the law”.

Produced by Philippine Film Studios and Viva Entertainment and partly shot in Amsterdam, “10,000 Hours” is directed by Joyce Bernal and also stars Michael de Mesa, Alden Richards, Bela Padilla, Mylene Dizon, Carla Humphries, Pen Medina and Joem Bascon.
