Director Jun Robles Lana and TV5 executive Perci Intalan will hold a book sale to raise funds for Yolanda victims in the Visayas.
Up for grabs are “pre-loved books and comic books” from the newlywed couple, as well as donations from their writer friends and colleagues, including GMA creative manager Arjay Nuevas and TV5 creative manager Elmer Gatchalian.
“Kahit ang isang lumang libro, maaaring maging paraan para makatulong tayo sa mga kababayan nating nasalanta ng bagyo,” Lana said on Facebook on Tuesday as he encouraged colleagues to either donate their own books or patronize the sale.
“We need to continue helping. Take turns as needed. Just keep it coming from wherever you are, with whatever you can do,” Intalan tweeted Wednesday.
Called “Books to the Rescue”, the book sale will be held from 11AM to 7PM on Sunday at the 3rd floor, POS Building, Scout Madrinan, Quezon City (beside Belo Clinic Morato, in front of Il Terrazo).
Besides being a veteran scriptwriter and director for television and films, Lana is a Palanca Hall of Fame awardee for his plays, teleplays and screenplays. Intalan is the Kapatid Network’s creative and entertainment production head and is a co-producer for Lana’s recent films, including “Bwakaw” and “Barber’s Tales”.
