As Anderson Cooper
continued on Friday his coverage of the post-typhoon situation in
Tacloban City and other areas devastated by typhoon Yolanda, local
celebrities wasted no time in tweeting their gratitude and vote of
confidence to the Emmy Award-winning American journalist.
This amid the controversial comments of ABS-CBN news anchor Korina Sanchez including her now infamous remark about Cooper not knowing what he was reporting about, which the veteran CNN broadcaster promptly addressed.
Singer-actress Nikki Gil even apologized to Cooper, presumably on Sanchez’s behalf as she posted a link of the video of Cooper’s response to Sanchez with her tweet, “Dear Anderson Cooper, thank you and pasensiya ka na ha”.
