ABS-CBN once again swept the list of the Philippines' 10 most watched TV shows in October, according to Kantar Media, with a number of programs tying in ratings, putting the total at 13.
Ranking first was the Coco Martin and Kim Chiu-starrer "Ikaw Lamang," which concluded on October 24, with an average nationwide rating of 29.7% for the month.
Tying in second place with 28.3% were "The Voice of the Philippines" and "Hawak Kamay." The talent search debuted its second season on October 26, while the primetime series is now down to its last three weeks.
Also in the top five, in order, were ABS-CBN's flagship newscast "TV Patrol" (28.2%), the fantasy anthology "Wansapanataym" (27.4%), and the weekend sitcom "Home Sweetie Home" (26.7%).
"Forevermore," which premiered on Primetime Bida last October 27, averaged a national TV rating of 26.6% to rank sixth. It was followed by the drama anthology "Maalaala Mo Kaya," having registered 25.9%.
Three Kapamilya programs tied for eighth. Garnering 23.6% for the month were the Alex Gonzaga-starrer "Pure Love," which will conclude on November 14; the comedy show "Mga Kwento ni Marc Logan"; and Korina Sanchez's lifestyle program "Rated K."
Another primetime series that figured in the top 10 was "Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon," which aired its finale last October 10. It got an average of 22.9% in ratings, good enough for ninth. "Goin' Bulilit" trailed closely at 10th with 22.1%.
The strong performance of ABS-CBN's weekend and primetime programs bolstered its lead versus competing stations. The Kapamilya network registered an overall audience share of 44% in October, while GMA-7 and TV5 only got 35% and 7%, respectively.
