VIDEO | Kokoi Baldo sings 'One Day' - The Voice Philippines Season 2 Blind Audition.

Negros Occidental native Kokoi Baldo not only made the four coaches of ''The Voice of the Philippines'' Season 2 turn their chairs around, he also made them dance along his rendition of Matisyahu's ''One Day.''

Coach Lea Salonga even went on to describe Baldo's performance during the blind auditions as ''halimaw.''

''Ang hinahanap namin dito sa Season 2, hindi lang magaling kundi makahalimaw na galing. Halimaw ka, sir!'' she said.

The 35-year-old dad is a reggae singer in Boracay, an island he describes as: ''Maliit na isla na puno ng tinatawag na 'sorpresa.'''

Asked how he got into reggae, the dreadlocked, barefooted performer said his mother used to sing Bob Marley while doing the laundry.

''[Noong] maliit pa ako, kasi 'yung nanay ko na naglalaba 'yung kinakanta po is 'Three Little Birds.'''

Meanwhile, Coach Apl.de.ap was so impressed that he even requested to jam with Baldo, which was later on joined by the other ''Voice'' coaches.

After much wooing from all four coaches, the reggae artist chose to be on the team of a surprised Geronimo.

'''Yung pinili ko para maging coach, kasi siguro, mas gusto ko pang matuto kung hanggang saan ang kaya ko as a musician,'' he said.
