Star Music Continues Break New Grounds in OPM with its New Partnership with Independent Hip Hop Label Artifice Records.

Star Music continues break new grounds in OPM with its new partnership with independent hip hop label Artifice Records.

Josef Amarra, head of Artifice Records, together with label co-founder Abra, as well as Star Music Group big boss Roxy Liquigan and Star Music exec and veteran songwriter Jonathan Manalo were present at the contract signing yesterday, Oct. 10.

Jonathan reveals what music fans can expect from this partnership: a Pinoy hip hop album in the works.

“It’s a collaborative project that we’re gonna be launching next year,” he says. “It will creatively spearheaded by Josef and the creative team of Star Records so we’re very excited to announce this project.”

Artifice Records houses some of the most in-demand names in the hip hop scene, such as Abra, LDP, Loonie, Ron Henley, Rjay, Alex, Apekz, DJ Buddah, DJ SPNZ, and Beatbox Philippines.

It is also the label behind the hits “Gayuma” and “Ilusyon” (Abra), as well as “Tao Lang” (Loonie) and “Biglang Liko” (Ron Henley).
