Enrique Gil’s previous onscreen partnership with a few young
actresses has produced various fan bases loyal to that pairing. Now that
he’s teaming up with Liza Soberano, whom he first worked with in “She’s The One,” haters haven’t minced words in expressing their opinion.
On this, Enrique offers an advice to his newest leading lady for the series “Forevermore.”
“Before sinasabi ko sa kanya, ‘Wag mo nalang masyadong isipin, siyempre opinion nila yun ‘di ba, so everybody has a right to speak, [they’re] entitled to their own opinion. Pero kung hindi maganda, ‘wag mo nalang pansinin. Kasi wala ring mangyayari. Ikaw din, you’re gonna feel bad over nothing. Don’t mind them nalang,’” he says in a joint interview with Liza at the “Forevermore” pocket press conference today, Oct. 3.
Liza, meanwhile, has also learned the “art of dedma” when it comes to online hate.
“’Di na po ako masyadong nagbabasa ng hate kasi gusto ko positive nalang,” the 16-year-old model-actress says.
The young stars are determined to give their supporters a good show and manage to spread “kilig” even if they’re not officially a couple.
“As of now, we’re teaming up,” Enrique explains. “‘Pag naging okay, then it’ll be a love team eventually. We haven’t really spent that much time together… We’re gonna start here sa ‘Forevermore…’ We’re gonna give it our all, sa story namin, sa characters, and I feel kaya naman namin.”
“Forevermore” will be brought to you by Star Creatives, which is behind “Princess and I,” “Got to Believe,” and “The Legal Wife.” It’s helmed by box office director Cathy Garcia-Molina and Ted Boborol. Check out these photos from the press conference:
