Feisty talent manager Annabelle Rama explained on Wednesday why she is against the new relationship of her daughter, actress Ruffa Gutierrez, with whom she exchanged bitter words earlier this week.
In a series of posts on Twitter, Rama denied that her argument with Gutierrez seen by their thousands of followers on the site was a "gimmick" to promote upcoming episodes of "It Takes Gutz to be A Gutierrez," their family's ongoing reality show.
The online feud, which erupted last Monday, stemmed from Gutierrez supposedly walking out from a dinner celebrating Rama's birthday last Saturday.
Although she did not directly mention her mother, Gutierrez lamented that Rama "tried to be funny at my expense," apparently referring to the talent manager criticizing the man she is currently seeing.
On Tuesday, Rama said she is not the type to create an issue to promote a project. She went on to remind Gutierrez about her past marriage with Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas, which was annulled in February 2012.

At this point, Rama said she will leave it up to her daughter to decide on her own.
In an apparent response to her mother, Gutierrez, also on Twitter, posted about her ex-husband: "Thank you for protecting me and watching out for me but it doesn't mean that just because someone looks like my ex, he's abusive na!"
She added: "Allow me to live my life! I've learned from my past & if life teaches me more lessons, then be there for me. Support me!"
