De La Salle University basketball star Jeron Teng has clarified his
statement about the "mutual understanding" between him and former "Pinoy
Big Brother" housemate Jane Oineza.
In a previous interview during Oineza's 18th birthday, Teng was asked if there is already a mutual understanding between them and the collegiate athlete answered, "Sa akin meron, di ko alam sa kanya."
Teng was Oineza's escort that night.
However, in a separate interview with ''The Buzz'' that aired on Sunday, Teng clarified that he and Oineza remain friends and are still getting to know each other.
''We're friends. 'Yun lang. May mutual understanding lang sa priorities at schedules namin. We're just getting to know each other,'' he said.
Meanwhile, Teng defended Oineza anew after La Salle basketball fans blamed the actress for the loss of the Green Archers against the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors last week.
''Sabi ko nga sa kanya manood siya ulit para manalo kami. Kawawa naman siya. 'Di naman niya fault 'yung [pagkatalo],'' he said.
Oineza had said that she went to watch the game for Teng and that's all that matters.
"Para sa kanya naman ako nanood. Hindi para sa kanila. So basta ako kung magaling siya maglaro, ok na ako. Proud ako sa kanya," she said.
