VIDEO | Patricia Gomez sings "Hit the Road Jack" - The Voice Philippines Season 2 Blind Audition.

The 21-year-old knows a thing or two about jiu-jitsu, and has a promising, suave voice according to "The Voice of the Philippines" coach Bamboo Mañalac.

On Saturday's episode of the singing competition, Gomez performed a rendition of the 1993 hit "Hit the Road Jack," originally sung by the American music icon Ray Charles.

It was enough to turn the chair of Mañalac, who immediately became the envy of co-coach apl.de.ap after he saw Gomez.

It prompted the Black Eyes Peas member to tell the OPM rockstar: "Galing mo talaga. May mata ka ba sa likod?"

He shifted his attention towards Gomez: "I didn't turn kasi I heard your vocal style and you do this kind of Bamboo-run a bit so I thought na mas bagay kayo."

To which Mañalac added: "I like the song choice. It is very suave but I wanted more. I wanted to hear you strain. I wanted you to just go for it and when you went for it, you strained for it --I said I got a fighter here."
The Filipina-Colombian joins Dang Del Rosario, Kai Honasan, Karlo Mojica, Maria Lourdes Basabas, Ramonne Kristie Rodrigues, Rence Rapanot, Shaira Cervancia, and Tanya Diaz on Kamp Kawayan.

Joniver Robles and Sean Mitchel Oquendo also joined Mañalac's team after wowing the coaches with their respective performances during the episode aired on Saturday
