Glaiza de Castro signed an exclusive three-year contract with GMA-7 on Friday, November 8, 2013.
It’s Glaiza’s first exclusive contract and she’s quite excited about it. She also revealed that she waited for this to happen for so long.
“Actually, ang tagal namin itong hinintay na talagang maging pure contract
artist ng GMA,” she said, as quoted by gmanetwork.com. “Nagsimula ako
sa freelance, tapos co-management, tapos ngayon, talagang in a way,
official na talaga ako. Masaya kasi lahat ng mga bagay na hinihintay
natin, kapagka binigay na, ang sarap ng pakiramdam. Isa siyang blessing talaga at isa sa mga prayers na natupad.”
With this new phase in her career, she hopes to have more projects both in acting and singing. And she’s quite happy because she said the network listens to what its artists want.
“Nakakatuwa dahil open ang [GMA] Artist Center sa mga gusto ng artists. Kumbaga, may freedom din kami to suggest and to say what we want in terms of our direction as an artist,” she said.
Glaiza has done several series with GMA-7, including Stairway To Heaven, Diva, Grazilda, Amaya, Biritera, Temptation Of Wife, and currently, she plays Gregoria de Jesus in Katipunan and as the sexy vampire named Vavavoom in the sitcom Vampire Ang Daddy Ko.
When asked who she wants to work with as leading man in a future project, she dropped the name of My Husband’s Lover star, Tom Rodriguez.
“Lahat halos ng gusto kong makasama sa series, nakasama ko na. Siguro si Tom [Rodriguez] dahil siya ‘yung bago ngayon ng GMA. Sobrang nahuhusayan talaga ako umarte sa kanya,” she confessed.
