Amid the social media frenzy over Freddie Aguilar’s admission that he
is deeply in love with his 16-year-old girlfriend, photos of the
legendary folk singer and a young woman who may or may not be the
unidentified girlfriend (see above) surfaced online on Thursday.
Two of the photos show the 60-year-old singer and the young lady kissing. The third has them looking directly at the camera.
Aguilar made his controversial admission to pep.ph reporter Glenn Regondola on Sunday night at the 5th Star Awards for Music at Solaire Resorts and Casino where he received a Lifetime Achievement Award, although the report only came out on Wednesday.
Aguilar was accompanied by his girlfriend and another female companion, whom he identified as the pregnant girlfriend of his son Jeriko.
The singer, who shot to stardom in 1979 with his signature hit “Anak”, claimed he did not know that his girlfriend was a minor when he first met her but said he was already in love when he found out.
He said he has her parents’ blessings and is ready to marry her when she’s legal and ready. He added that they have discussed the prospect of having a baby.
