A 27-year-old rock vocalist became the first four-chair turner of the second season of "The Voice of the Philippines."
Tanya Diaz, from Mandaluyong City, came from a family of musicians. Her mother is a singer-songwriter, while her father is a musical arranger. All her brothers are also into music.
Diaz added that she was inspired by her late brother, who was into rock.
On the show's pilot episode on Sunday, Diaz performed the rock classic, "What About Love," much to the delight of all the judges, who all turned for her.
"I'm at a loss for words. We just knew you're something special. Iba ka lang talaga. Thank you for joining us, thank you for being here, thank you for that performance," Bamboo said.
"You brought the house down. I cannot move on without you," apl.de.ap. told Diaz.
"May mga good, tapos may mga very good, tapos may mga great. You're in the great section. You have everything, all the technical tools, emotionally, you're there.
We’ll do anything for you," Sarah Geronimo said.
Diaz eventually decided to join Bamboo's team, becoming Camp Kawayan's first member.
