Director Rodolfo “Jun” Robles Lana Jr. and TV5 executive Percival
“Perci” Intalan tied the knot in solemn rites by the Bethesda Fountain
at Central Park in New York on Monday.
Lana and Intalan, both 41, wore black tuxedos. The ceremony was officiated by Paul Hertel and witnessed by family members and close friends of the couple. Reception followed at the Jeepney Gastropub, a Filipino restaurant at the Big Apple’s Lower East Side.
“Grateful for this day. Beautiful weather at Central Park, surrounded by loving friends and family and the most delicious wedding feast prepared by Jeepney Gastropub, we couldn’t have asked for anything more,” Lana said on Facebook on Tuesday.
The couple had been together for 10 years before they formalized their union under the same-sex law of New York State where they had obtained their marriage license last week.
Lana is the acclaimed writer and director of “Bwakaw”, while Intalan is the long-time creative and entertainment production head of TV5.
On Tuesday, the couple left New York for Tokyo to attend the 26th Tokyo International Film Festival where “Barber’s Tales”, Lana’s latest film which Intalan co-produced, will screen in competition. The festival will open on Thursday.
