Celebrities Top BIR's 2012 Individual Taxpayers List

Proving that the entertainment industry remains to be booming business, showbiz personalities has once again dominated the Bureau of Internal Revenue's Individual Taxpayers List of 2012.

This year a total of 37 individual taxpayers from the showbiz industry were included on the list.

At the second spot, who rose from the 181st place in 2011, was "Wowowillie" host Wilfredo "Willie" Revillame who paid a total of P63.9 million pesos worth of tax. 

While the Queen of All Media Kristina Bernadette "Kris" Aquino dropped to the sixth spot from being on the first place in 2011 by paying a total of P44.933 million last year which has a little over P6 million difference from what she paid for the year before that.

Kris was "dethroned" by  pharmacy chain Mercury Drug's president  Vivian Que Azcona, who wasn't even in the 2011 list, by paying a total of P131.43 million.

From the 205th spot, box office king John Lloyd Cruz rose to the 8th spot in the  list of Top Individual Taxpayers for the taxable year of 2012 by paying a total of P42.791 million. Coming right on his heels at the ninth spot was Megastar Sharon Cuneta who paid a total of P42.04 million and like him also rose on the list from being on the 191st spot in the 2011 list.

Also at the list were a bunch of Kapamilya stars like Judy Ann Santos, (32nd, P24.09 million); Piolo Pascual (34th, P23.36 million); Bea Alonzo (Phylbert Angelie Escalante Ranollo) (44th, P20.74 million); Anne Curtis (50th, P19.17 million);  Sarah Geronimo (59th, P18.3 million); Robin Padilla (60th, P18.2); Coco Martin (79th, P15.6 million); Boy Abunda (110th, P13 million) and Vice Ganda (137th, P12 million).

John Lloyd's girlfriend Angelica Panganiban also made it to the list (226th, P9.06 million) as well as KC Concepcion (311th, P7.4 million); Toni Gonzaga (390th, P6.6 million); and Angel Locsin (398th, P6.6 million).

Meanwhile, the ABS-CBN executives also made it to the list. Among them were ABS-CBN chairman Eugenio "Gabby" Lopez III (43rd, P20.75 million); CEO and president Charo Santos-Concio (190th, P10.074 million); channel head Cory Vidanes (296th, P7.6 million) and TV production head Laurenti Dyogi (P456th, P6.1 million).
