MANILA - Liza Soberano became emotional when her “Forevermore” leading man, Enrique Gil, along with the rest of the team behind the successful show, surprised her on her birthday.
Soberano thought she was hosting a set tour in Tuba, Benguet but, unknown to her, a birthday surprise spearheaded by Gil was already waiting for her in one of the tents.
“Alam ko, you hate surprises pero hindi kami papayag na hindi i-celebrate ang birthday mo. God bless and we’ll always be here for you,” the actor said.
Asked for a birthday wish, Soberano said: “Sana patuloy pa rin ang success ng ‘Forevermore.’ Sana umabot ng three years. Sana lagi lang masaya ang lahat.”
With tears of joy flowing down her cheeks, Soberano added: “Thank you for always being here for me, for making me happy and thank you sa surprise talaga.”
Soberano turned 16 on Sunday.
