This is what Isabelle Daza said when she was asked on “The Buzz” on how she handles the criticisms she’s been receiving since she became a hot topic online following her decision to leave GMA-7 and transfer to ABS-CBN.
Speaking to hosts Toni Gonzaga, Boy Abunda and Kris Aquino, Daza said: “I think there’s always going to be haters kahit anong i-post mo. Last time I posted something about Thanksgiving. Parang ang daming nagagalit na nagse-celebrate ako ng Thanksgiving… I think I just have to deal with it.”
Saying she knows that she cannot please everybody, Daza shrugged and said: “It’s just a part of life… I’ll just try to do my best to live up to all this pressure and expectations.”
Now that she is with the Kapamilya network, Daza said she wants to explore all the opportunities here.
“To be honest, I want to try something different. There (GMA-7), I was hosting. Here naman I want to do more of acting. Siyempre with ABS, ang daming magaganda na actresses, very talented singers, dancers. I want to challenge myself also,” she said.
Daza also named two more actors who she wants to work with aside from Gerald Anderson.
“Ang daming mga gwapong leading men here who are also taller than me. Siyempre that’s what I need. Maraming leading men here na I want to work with. I’ve worked with John Lloyd already. Honestly, I want to work with Luis Manzano. I think he is very funny. Kapag kasama siya lagi kang tumatawa. Also Vhong Navarro. More on comedy,” she said.
Daza said she is looking forward to learning more things about showbiz now that she’s part of ABS-CBN.
“My mom tells me ‘You’re only as good as your last scene.’ I just take it one scene at a time. I’m still trying to learn. I don’t wake up every day and think ang galing ko,” she said.
Daza’s first project in ABS-CBN will be with Anderson for the upcoming series “Nathaniel.”
