It looks like after a few last-minute changes and dropouts, Miss World will have 126 competitors in this year’s edition of the pageant, which will be held in London.
Countries like Angola, Cape Verde, Cambodia, Macedonia FYRO, Taiwan and Uzbekistan, which appeared on the official website for a long time, are now gone.
Miss Honduras disappeared last Thursday and has not yet been found. If she does not travel to London (the entire planet is following this case and praying for her and her sister), the number will drop to 125. In one case or the other, it will not beat last year’s record of 127 participants, in Bali.
Last-minute changes
Albania and Kazakhstan have new representatives. Miss Albania is Xhensila Pere and Miss Kazakhstan is Madina Davletova. The original winner of Miss Kazakhstan could not compete in Miss World because of the age limit. She will compete in Miss Universe 2014 instead.
Early arrivals
Although most contestants are expected to start arriving in London on Thursday, November 20th, a couple of them are already in the British capital city. Miss Brazil arrived on Sunday and Miss Puerto Rico got there on Tuesday.
Yes, Miss World is about to begin!!
