Kapamilya Hunk Actor JC de Vera says Transferring to ABS-CBN was a ‘Good Move’

Although it took a while before he was able to work in front of the camera again after he transferred networks, JC de Vera has made up for it by starring in the ongoing series The Legal Wife while working on another, Moon of Desire.

 “I think I’m more than lucky, ‘di ba? Medyo stressed lang right now pero on top of that very happy and grateful ako sa blessings na dumadating and magandang training ito for me since nagsta-start pa lang ako sa ABS [CBN], ito na kagad ‘yung mga nakakatrabaho ko,” JC said in an exclusive interview with Push.com.ph at the Kapamilya Trade Event.

According to JC, moving to ABS-CBN was “very worth it” because “para sa akin good move talaga siya dahil ‘yung room ko for growth mapupuno talaga ng ABS at ngayon very fulfilling kahit sandali palang ako nagte-tape doon sa dalawang show very fruitful na siya.”

Since his ongoing soap with Angel Locsin, Jericho Rosales, and Maja Salvador premiered in January, The Legal Wife has continuously dominated its primetime slot and even managed to consistently trend on various social networking sites. To this, a surprised JC blurted with a laugh, “Hindi ako sanay!”

JC continued, “Well I’m happy for everyone na sumusuporta samin. Ina-anticipate talaga nila eh and worth it naman kasi ang paghihintay nila kasi ‘yung whole story nung The Legal Wife is very real kasi. Since ganon siya katotoo para samin nagiging kwento na siya ng bawat tao. Ibig sabihin lahat ng makakapanood nito, makaka-relate sa ipinapalabas namin.”

Work on the upcoming Moon of Desire (MOD) has already begun and JC will be starring with other Kapamilya transferees Meg Imperial and Ellen Adarna on the sexy soap. Aside from the lead role in the series, another plus for JC is what he says is an improvement in his acting.

“Kahit ako minsan sa pag-arte ko napapansin ko ‘ay kaya ko pala’ ‘uy nagawa ko ‘yun, kaya pala.’ Marami pang bago, marami pa akong natututunan although nage-explore pa naman ako, marami pa akong hindi nasusubukan kasi kaya right now, very fulfilling lang,” the 27-year-old actor said.

“Nagkaroon kami ng couple of workshops rin. More on bonding workshop with our director talaga. Actually wala na kasi ‘yung director namin dito sa show, half of our work ginagawa na niya. So ibig sabihin nu’n ina-act niya na para sa amin, tinuturo niya na ‘yung delivery bawat eksena so ang gagawin lang talaga namin is to listen and to deliver.”
