As the news of Anne Curtis being the popular Komiks mermaid, Dyesebel spreads all over the net, ABS-CBN is giving the public more and more teases. Now, the 28-year
old actress is giving us a teaser with a photoshoot as the Mars Ravelo character which her official page has announced.
Although, there’s a twist!
Instead of the normal half-fish
mermaid get-up which the character is most known for, Anne’s pictorial is more
glamorous and revolved around high-fashion with their photoshoot version.
Some photos which were taken on
the sidelines of the official shoot were uploaded on Instagram on Friday by Lala
Flores and Raymond Santiago who
were her makeup and hairstylists respectively.
The photos taken show Anne in a
marine-themed backdrop with her beautiful flowing hair and mermaid-inspired
royal blue dress with a matching floral headdress. Perfect for the pretty fashionista, right?
According to Anne Curtis’ official website,
Anne’s dream came true during the photoshoot as Dyesebel as it has been her
“dream-role” for a long time.
The original comics of Dyesebel
which were released in 1952 revolve around a mermaid who was born on land to
human parents. Her mother who was a mermaid herself before, had Dyesebel sent
away as a child to live at sea with her fellow merfolk after she was blamed
because of superstitious believes from the townfolk that she was the cause of a
series of disasters.
The comic hit big screen
quickly even as early 1953. Well-known portrays of Dyesebel throughout the
years have been actresses Vilma Santos
(1973), Alma Moreno (1978), Alice Dixson (1990), and Charlene Gonzales (1996).
Also, Dyesebel has been in a TV
Series before with Marian Rivera
(2008) in GMA-7 was the first. Anne
Curtis is the second actress to portray a TV Series Dyesebel.
