So what exactly happened that night?
Anne Curtis has admitted and already apologized for her involvement in a recent controversial incident at a luxury club in Taguig where she allegedly slapped actor John Lloyd Cruz and three others.
But the plot continues to thicken as the other personalities involved in the incident have spoken up. In several published reports, actor Jake Cuenca has denied playing a prank on Anne that got her ire after somebody allegedly banged on the door of the club’s restroom while she was inside it.
Model and TV host Phoemela Baranda refuted what magazine editor and publisher JR Isaac said in an interview with Pep.ph about the incident. Phoem denied that she was among those Anne slapped and that she was on the receiving end of Anne’s fury as the latter allegedly yelled, “I can buy you, your friends and this club!” JR in turn said in a subsequent interview with Pep.ph that he stands by his story.
Privé luxury club co-owner JM Rodriguez who was reported to have had a shouting match with Anne during the incident surprisingly introduced the latter as “My good friend, Anne Curtis” before hugging the actress in the full view of guests during a recent corporate event hosted by Cherry Mobile, a cellular phone brand currently endorsed by Anne.
And John Lloyd Cruz, who was also at the same event but was not seen to exchange pleasantries with Anne, was also heard to have uttered, “Kinabahan ako dun ah. Malapit na ‘ko masampal,” although not exactly in reference to the incident.
Based on the teaser of this Saturday’s episode of “Showbiz Police”, there seems to be more to the controversial incident than meets the eye as more personalities have come forward to speak about what happened.
According to the teaser, fellow actress Bianca King was also at the venue during the incident, apparently as one of the guests at the bachelorette party Anne was hosting for a friend.
“Kasi si Anne, she really worked very hard that night to put everything together,” Bianca said in the teaser.
Socialite, model and TV host Divine Lee, on the other hand, talked about how given the club’s small size, everything could easily be heard if a scandal takes place.
And John Lloyd was also seen being approached by a “Showbiz Police” reporter to comment on the incident. Did the actor actually say anything? What else is now known about the most talked-about incident of the week?
Find out this Saturday, December 7, when “Showbiz Police” airs at 6PM on TV5.
