Former PBB housemates Joj and Jai Agpangan made a living from garbage and lived on the streets in the metro
after accepting real-life challenges from ABS-CBN’s realiserye “I Dare
You,” as shown in an episode to be aired this Saturday (Nov 30) on
ABS-CBN.
The twin, along with teen actor John Manalo, tried to relive the life of 14-year-old Bidang Kapamilya Kesz, who received last year’s prestigious International Peace Prize for Children, the equivalent of the Nobel Peace Prize for children, for improving the plight of street kids in the country.
Kesz ran away from home when he was young to escape domestic abuse and was forced to live on his own. For their challenge, Joj, Jai, and John had to live away from the comfort of their homes and make a living from collecting and selling scrap materials without relying on other people.
Their biggest challenge was teaching 50 children, aged 3-5 years old, to read, write, and count. If majority of the kids pass a basic exam, Kesz and his organization, which advocates children’s rights and helps them improve their lives, will be granted a two-story house and office worth P1 million. Join John Prats, Deniesse Aguilar, Robi Domingo, and Melai Cantiveros as they showcase Filipinos who brave through life’s challenges in “I Dare You Season 2,” Saturday night (Nov 30) after “Maalaala Mo Kaya.”
