In addition to the Darna movie and the Magic Temple remake plans of Star Cinema, managing director Malou Santos also revealed that a John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo new flick is on its way.
'It Takes A Man And A Woman' was the last movie together of John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo
which topped the local box office this year and it was considered one
of the highest grossing Filipino films of all time next to another Star
Cinema and Viva Films flick, 'Sisterakas'.
The film 'It Takes A Man And A Woman' ended showing couple Miggy (John Lloyd Cruz) and Laida (Sarah Geronimo) marrying each other. In response to that last historical scene, Malou Santos said: 'Kasi
nung nag-end ‘yung film, gusto mo pa malaman what happens to the
relationship. Now, we’re doing our fourth for next year, mag-asawa na
sila.'
Meanwhile, in their previous interviews, John Lloyd Cruz said that he's willing to do the sequel if the script will surpass the quality of that in 'It Takes A Man And Woman'. And Sarah Geronimo expressed that if ever there will be a fourth installment, the film should explore the married life of Miggy and Laida.
If indeed, a fourth installment is on the work, the John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo movie series will be one of the successful sequels in the history of Philippine cinema. Other movie series who made a remarkable box office successes are those of Ai Ai Delas Alas' 'Tanging Ina' series and Vic Sotto's 'Enteng Kabisote' movie series.
