Hey, students: Monday's just about over, but if you still feel like
you're not ready to take on the rest of the week (thanks to the "bed
weather"), here’s something to look forward to: Today, September
23, Unilever beauty brands Pond’s, Cream Silk, and Rexona kicked off a weeklong nationwide youth development program called #TeenWeek, which
will last up to Friday, September 27. This advocacy hopes to help power
up and equip one million teens (out of the Philippines' 6.6 million
teens--the 11th largest teen population in the world) to be more
confident to face the future.
During #TeenWeekPH, modules will be set up in 300 schools nationwide on each day of the week to help develop your self-esteem and address key aspects of teen life: good grooming, friendships and relationships, dreams and ambitions, and talent and confidence. You can also get hygiene and grooming kits to kickstart your habit of being well-groomed and primped all the time, and participate in fun activities and watch educational videos featuring Julia Barretto for Pond’s; Elmo Magalona and Coach Rio for Rexona; and Heart Evangelista, Rissa Manaquil-Trillo, and 2013 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Ariella Arida for Cream Silk.
The campaign kicked off with a party at Skye Lounge in Fort recently, which was attended by Julia, Elmo, Ariella, as well as Teenfluencers Laureen Uy and Dani Barretto. #TeenWeekPH officially began today with #MoveUpMonday activities, which include modules about building a proper skincare regimen to look and feel good everyday, as well as on-ground opening events in Visayas, Mindanao, Pampanga, and Bulacan schools only. Schools with class suspensions in Metro Manila today will have their opening and Monday activities tomorrow, dubbed #TreasureTuesday, which will focus on making you beautiful on the inside by teaching you to make--and appreciate--friends. On #WowWednesday, Pond’s will come in to inspire you to #LiveBeautiful by giving tips--along with skincare products--on enhancing your best feature. On #ThinkBigThursday, Cream Silk will empower you to dream big and set clear ambitions by recognizing your passions and leveraging on your strengths to be #BeyondBeautiful. And on #ForwardFriday, #RexonaDoMore will boost your self-confidence to pursue the things you love!
