The winners of the first CineFilipino Film Festival were announced tonight during the awarding ceremony held in Genting Club, Resorts World Manila.

The winners are:

SHORT FILMS

First Best Short Film: Ligaw

Second Best Short Film: Logaritmo

Third Best Short Film: Sangandaan

FEATURE FILMS

Best Sound: Puti

Best Production Design: Puti

Best Musical Score: The Guerrilla is a Poet

Best Cinematography: Puti

Best Film Editing: The Guerrilla is a Poet

Best Supporting Actor: Bong Cabrera, The Guerrilla is a Poet

Best Supporting Actress: Angel Aquino, Ang Huling Cha Cha ni Anita

Best Acting Ensemble: Ang Huling Cha Cha ni Anita

Best Actor: Karl Medina,  The Guerrilla is a Poet

Best Actress: Teri Malvar,  Ang Huling Cha Cha ni Anita

Best Screenplay: Ang Kwento ng Mabuti

Best Director: Mes de Guzman, Ang Kwento ng Mabuti

Best Picture: Ang Kwento ng Mabuti tie Ang Huling Cha Cha ni Anita

The festival spearheaded by PLDT-Smart Foundation, MediaQuest, Studio 5 and Unitel Entertainment opened its doors to interested filmmakers last August 2012 and attracted almost 150 entries from across the country. Due to the overwhelming response, the festival committee faced a grueling task of selecting the eight best entries. The chosen filmmakers received a seed grant of P1.5 million to support their project.
