The movie version of ABS-CBN's hit daytime drama Be Careful with My Heart will no longer be part of this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF 2013).
MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino confirmed in a report by Dennis Datu on DZMM that Be Careful with My Heart backed out of the annual
festival. According to the said report, the MMFF 2013 organizing
committee received Star Cinema's letter formalizing the withdrawal on
Thursday afternoon.
Star Cinema, in its letter, explained that they decided to pull out the movie due to the "tight schedule" of the cast and crew of Be Careful with My Heart. Apparently, it was difficult to shoot for the movie while everyone's still busy taping the ongoing series.
There are no confirmations yet whether the production of the film will
still push through even after this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.
With Be Careful with My Heart's withdrawal from MMFF 2013, one slot is again vacated and ready to be occupied by a film to be chosen by the organizing committee from among the 15 shortlisted ones to complete the eight official entries.
Before Be Careful with My Heart, Bong Revilla's My Super Kap, which
is suppose to bring the senator on the big screen opposite Ai Ai Delas
Alas and Toni Gonzaga was also pulled out from the MMFF due to conflicting schedules of the Kapamilya leading ladies.
